Privacy Policy

Tina helps you track what you have at home. This policy explains what we store and why.

What we store

We do not collect analytics from third parties, we do not track you across other apps, and we never sell your data.

Who can see your data

Only members of a household can read or change that household's spaces and items. This is enforced by the database itself, not just by the app.

Scanning barcodes

When you scan a barcode, the number is sent to Open Food Facts, a free public product database, to look up the product name. Only the barcode digits and your app language are sent — never your email, your account, or anything about your household. If a code is not recognised, the name you give it is saved to your household so the app knows it next time.

The camera is used only while the scanner is open. Images are processed on your device and are never stored or sent anywhere.

Where it lives

Your data is stored by Supabase, our backend provider, and travels over an encrypted connection. Your login session is kept in the iOS Keychain on your device.

Account emails, such as a password reset, are delivered by Resend, our email provider. They receive your email address and the contents of that message, and nothing else about your household.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. When you do, we remove your account and your memberships. Households where you were the last member are deleted along with everything in them; households with other members carry on without you, and ownership passes to the longest-standing member.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, export or erase your data. Account deletion in the app covers erasure. For anything else, contact us.
